Pequot Library's special collections to be prominently featured in new rooms
Pequot Library and its Special Collections represent the inspired collecting history of its forward-thinking late 19th century founders and benefactors, who created a cultural legacy, comprised of approximately 30,000 rare books, manuscripts, and archives. On Monday, December 18, 2017 at 6:30 p.m., join Pequot’s Executive Director, Stephanie J. Coakley, for a presentation, Preservation & Renovation Updates, and learn more about the exciting projects that are underway to prepare for the proper storage and preservation of a selection of the Special Collections and see architectural plans for the new Dillon Reading Room. Also discussing this important interior redesign project will be Board of Trustees President Alison Barry and project architect Jack Franzen.

Malloy announces New Haven line set all-time ridership record in 2016

CT DEEP announces delay in opening the Branford River State Boat Launch in Branford
Connecticut’s Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) last week announced that there will be a delay in opening the State boat launch located on the Branford River in Branford. The launch was closed for renovations late in the summer of 2016 and was originally scheduled to re-open in mid-November, but construction issues still need to be addressed.
